What does our lens technology offer that others don't? Color Balance. Hobie's proprietary polarized film allows our eyes to transmit clear "color messages" to our brain. These clear color messages give us the ability to see all colors vividly and see slight differences in similar colors. Hobie's proprietary polarized film allows the ideal amount of blue light to transmit for clear visual response of the color blue and contrast sensitivity. We are able to enhance vision and visual acuity.
Lens Colors
HOBIE GREY The original Hobie® Polarized lens uses a special blend of grey and smoke to create its proven tint. Hobie®’s special tint provides natural color perception for a soothing visual experience. Recommended for everyday use in moderate to bright conditions where minimal contrast enhancement is necessary. AVAILABLE LENS MATERIALS: BOROSILICATE GLASS, POLYCARBONATE
HOBIE COPPER Hobie’s® copper polarized lens enhances contrast to provide sharper vision and extremely high resolution. Recommended for driving and everyday use in normal to bright conditions. AVAILABLE LENS MATERIALS: BOROSILICATE GLASS, POLYCARBONATE
HOBIE MIRROR The mirror polarized lens coating adds another layer of protection against scratches and smudges to the lightweight, thin and durable Borosilicate Glass polarized lens found on select styles in the Hobie® Polarized Heritage Collection. The scratch-resistant coating along with the HydroClean™ Plus glass polarized lens sheds water, resists dust and grime, is easy to clean and reduces distracting reflections from sources behind you.
